At Canyons, 156 of 179 trails were open Friday (52 groomed), along with all five bowls. All 19 lifts were running. The resort is reporting 144 inches of snow year to date, with a 38-inch base at mid-mountain and a 56-inch base at the summit, and three inches of snow in the past 24 hours. UTAH OLYMPIC PARK

SOLDIER HOLLOW CROSS COUNTRY
Soldier Hollow, near Midway, offers cross-country skiing for beginners to experts on the site of the 2002 Olympics. The trails are open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Soldier Hollow has 13 trails totaling 25K, with five groomed trails totaling 10K. Mountain Trails is reporting good skiing, with the Rail Trail from Bonanza Drive to Richardson Flat and most of Round Valley groomed this week. WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST
The Kamas Ranger District maintains several cross-country ski and snowmobile trails in the Uinta Mountains east of Kamas. The 5-mile groomed Beaver Creek Trail parallels S.R. 150 and is accessible from a number of parking areas along the highway. Dogs are allowed on this trail only on odd-numbered days.
