NEW YORK (AP) ? Bebe Neuwirth has been picked to star in the New York premiere of "Golden Age" by four-time Tony winner Terrence McNally.
Manhattan Theatre Club said Thursday the Emmy- and Tony-winning former star of TV's "Cheers" will appear in the opera-related drama "Golden Age" at New York City Center ? Stage I on 55th Street.
"Golden Age" begins previews on Nov. 13 and open Dec. 4.
The play reunites Neuwirth with Walter Bobbie, who directed her in the hit revival of "Chicago," which netted her a 1997 Tony for best actress in a musical.
