Hey there folks, hope y?all are enjoying the snow day. For those of you staying home, consider this a listing of some good time-wasters that are all available on Netflix instant streaming ? It?s a snow day, so pour yourself a cocktail, kick on the Netflix, and snuggle up with the one you love, or a pet, or by your self ? treat yourself to some classic trash movies and TV courtesy of Netflix.

1 ? Snow White: A Tale of Terror
This 1997 classic stars Sigourney Weaver, Sam Neill, and some other people who don?t matter anymore, and OH MAN is it garbage. Its got some gross moments, its got some scary moments, but mostly its got Weaver being a bad-ass witch and Sam Neill with a dopey wig on. 2 things that make for an amazing movie. I highly recommend this to start your day.
2 ? Weekend
This 2011 movie centers around a couple of gay men in Nottingham, UK. It?s a story of hook ups, and artsy folks. There?s blogging, there?s American Apparel undies, and there are lots and LOTS of beards. It?s received pretty amazing reviews across the board, and is something to keep you warm if the snow?s made you chilly.

3 ? Pretty In Pink
It?s good to catch up on some old heart-warmers when the weather?s got you down. If you?re stuck inside, nothing goes better with popcorn and a glass of wine like a good John Hughes movie, and luckily Pretty In Pink has you covered. I always had a crush on Duckie? and the bad guy in it is named ?Brad,? so it?s always had a special place in my heart.

4 ? Locked Up Abroad
Possibly one of the worst tv shows ever made, Locked Up Abroad is a reality show that retells the story of 1st world tourists who get in messy situations over seas in 3rd world countries. You?ve got 6 episodes to choose from, all featuring dumb, young travelers thinking trafficking drugs on an airplane is a good idea. This show is a classic example of ?tune-in-turn-off? which is kind of the aim for any snow day, in my opinion.
5 ? X-Files
I made the journey through all 9 seasons of this show recently and i enjoyed about 85% of it. The first 7 seasons feature great characters, strong female role models, mediocre dialogue, and aliens. I was, at first, intimidated by the over-arching alien plot line that drives the entire show, spending my time watching the occasional ?monster of the week? episode, but once I hunkered down and threw myself into the larger story, I was caught in a web of intrigue and bad-assery. I also worship at the altar of Dana Scully ? but I?m partial to red-heads.
Don?t bother with seasons 8 and 9 unless you are a completionist ? Scully transforms from a powerful figure of intelligent femininity into a chicken running around with her head cut off, clinging to her very-pregnant belly.
