Question by TJS : How do my property taxes get paid with my mortgage
I recently got a tax bill from my county treasurer for my property taxes. I know that a part of each mortgage payment is earmarked for taxes. Does the bank hold this in escrow and then pay for me, or is this an additional tax on top of what I?m already paying? Best answer:

If you?re paying your taxes through your mortgage company, then they?re holding that money in escrow to pay your taxes to the county. Send them the tax bill, and they?ll pay it.This should all be spelled out somewhere in all those documents you signed when you bought your house.
